Vi Peel Philadelphia

The Vi Peel is a revolutionary skin resurfacing treatment which provides results similar to traditional chemical peels with a fraction of the downtime. Top New Jersey Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Anthony Corrado, has provided this treatment for countless patients of the Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Philadelphia metropolitan areas seeking facial skin rejuvenation. The treatment was popularized in Southern California and is known as “The Lunchtime Peel” because of the ease of the procedure and rapid recovery afterwards. The peel reverses the aging process while providing a fresher, clearer complexion in usually just one session.

The Vi Peel is made of peeling agents designed for all skin types. The Vi peel can help a person to archive desired results without any preparation of the skin. The treatment can be applied in as little as fifteen minutes.

The Vi Peel offers help with:

  • Acne conditions or acne scars
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • The texture, clarity and tone of skin
  • Age spots, freckles, hyper-pigmentation
  • The production of collagen, which will tighten the skin

The Vi Peel offers less risk the traditional peels. This is done by using smaller concentrations of the same chemicals. The chemicals in the Vi Peel help to resurface the top layers of skin, which leaves the skin tighter with less sign of aging.

When undergoing the Vi Peel, the first step will be to clean the skin. A special solution is used to remove oils and dead skin cells. This allows the peel to penetrate the skin evenly. The Peel is applied carefully to the skin in two layers. After the first layer is applied and then dried the second layer is applied. This is done to allow deep penetration of the skin. The peel can be applied in as little as fifteen minutes and it is recommended to leave the peel on for up to a total of eight hours. Patients are given instructions to follow after being sent home, along with special skin cleansing pads and special Vi moisturizer.

After the Vi Peel is finished the skin will have a tan or red color to it. Between twenty four to forty eight hours after the treatment the patient’s skin will feel tighter and look tan. Freckles and pigmented skin spots could darken. The patient’s skin will begin to peel about seventy two hours after the treatment. Patients can continue actives in their daily lives by using the Vi Moisturizer. The Vi Moisturizer will help cover the signs of peeling. The most visible signs of peeling will be around the patient’s mouth and eyes. The entire peel is complete after about seven to eight days. Patients can continue to use the moisturizer to hydrate the skin and as protection from the sun after the signs of peeling stop.

The Vi Peel does not require anesthesia. While some patients have reported a slight warming sensation, most patients report little to no discomfort at all. Any discomfort a patient feels after the treatment can be relieved by sitting in front of a fan blowing cool air.

If you are interested in younger tighter looking skin then the Vi Peel could be for you. The treatment is quick and easy to do, and a great way to feel better about your skin.

Vi Peel Facts

Surgical Goals:

To correct fine lines, wrinkles, sun damaged skin, acne scars, and pigmentation issues.

The Procedure:

The skin is first cleansed with special solution to remove oil and dead skin to allow even penetration of the peel. The Vi Peel is then gently applied to the skin in layers; the first application is applied to the skin and sinks deep into the skin’s surface, and the second application follows shortly after that to penetrate deeper into the skin. Patients are instructed to let the peel remain on the face for approximately 4-8 hours. Patient can then use a gentle cleanser prior to bedtime to wash the peel off.

Anesthesia:

No anesthesia is required as the procedure is virtually painless. Some patients will report minimal burning during the peel application. This discomfort is relieved by allowing a fan to blow cool air onto the face during treatment.

Length of Time:

The procedure takes about 15 minutes.

After the Procedure:

All patients are sent home after their procedure, and are given a specific set of instructions created by Vi Peel to follow. Special skin cleansing pads as well as a special Vi Moisturizer are also provided.

Recovery:

Immediately following the peel, the skin will have a slightly tan to red appearance. Over the next 24-48 hours the skin will feel slightly tighter and look tanned. Pigmented spots and freckles may become darker. At 72 hours the patient will begin to peel. The skin peeling in most cases is a light fluffy peel. The first signs of peeling will be noted in the most sensitive areas around the mouth and corner of the eyes. Use of the Vi Moisturizer will help patients cover up the peeling, allowing them to maintain their usual daily routine. By days 7-8, the entire peeling process is complete. Patients are encouraged to continue with the Vi Moisturizer after the cycle to hydrate the skin and provide sun protection.

Who Are the Best Candidates for Laser Skin Resurfacing?:

In most cases, the best candidates for laser resurfacing are men and women with mild to moderate facial wrinkles in localized areas, such as around the eyes and/or mouth. Also, good candidates for this treatment include patients with mild to moderate sun damage, moderate to severe acne scars or un-even pigmentation. Patients with olive skin, brown skin, or black skin may be at an increased risk for pigmentation changes no matter what resurfacing method is recommended. Furthermore, an individual must be in good health, and not have any active diseases or pre-existing medical conditions.
