BOTOX Injections Philadelphia

Revitalize Your Appearance with Premier Botox®

Our Philadelphia Botox® treatments are one of the most popular non-invasive procedures in cosmetic surgery. Patients from all over South Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area seek Botox to treat unwanted facial wrinkles.

What is Botox?

Effortless Elegance

With a few simple injections, Botox temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, the “11” lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck. The injections are used to weaken the muscles responsible for the fine lines and wrinkles that occur in these areas.

The constant contractions of the muscles of facial expression cause the formation of these dynamic lines and wrinkles. By selectively targeting and weakening the appropriate muscles causing dynamic wrinkle formation, highly trained plastic surgeons can eliminate these lines without interfering with normal facial function and expression.

One should always choose a board-certified facial plastic surgeon or general plastic surgeon to perform their injections, as these physicians have the utmost training and knowledge in how to safely and effectively provide you with the best treatment of Botox in Philadelphia.

Before & After Botox

Treatment consists of a number of tiny injections made through a very fine needle directly into the muscle. Our Cherry Hill Botox treatment takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia is required. An ice pack is placed on the treated areas following injection. It generally takes three to seven days to take full effect and it is best to avoid alcohol at least one week prior to treatment. Aspirin, ibuprofen, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) should be stopped two weeks before treatment as well in order to reduce bruising.

The effects of Botox will last up to four months. As muscle function gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to re-appear, and wrinkles need to be re-treated. After repeat treatments, wrinkles often appear less severe because the muscles thin out due to inactivity, lessening their ability to contract forcefully.

Temporary bruising is the most common side effect. Headaches, which resolve in 24-48 hours, can occur, but this is rare. A small percentage of patients may develop eyelid drooping. This usually resolves in three weeks. This development is usually caused by migration of the Botox injection. To prevent this result, patients are instructed not to rub the treated area for 12 hours after injection or lay down flat for three to four hours.
