December 10, 2018, Cherry Hill, NJ (PR News Wire) Dr. Anthony Corrado of the Corrado Center for Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery is one of 1,000 board-certified doctors to be inducted into the RealSelf Hall of Fame, an honor recognizing the highest-rated and most active doctors on RealSelf, the leading online marketplace to learn about cosmetic treatments and connect with medical aesthetic providers. For eight years, the annual RealSelf 100 and 500 awards recognized doctors with outstanding records of high patient ratings who have given back to the RealSelf community by providing credible, valuable insights in response to consumer questions about elective cosmetic treatments ranging from surgical procedures to minimally invasive technologies to cosmetic dentistry. For the first time ever, RealSelf celebrates the Hall of Fame, a culmination of eight years of recognitions made through the RealSelf 100 and 500 awards program. To be included in the RealSelf Hall of Fame, doctors must have received a RealSelf 100 or RealSelf 500 award in the past. The program, which first launched in 2010, honors the top-rated and most engaged board-certified aesthetic doctors on RealSelf. Doctors are ranked in three categories: earning patient reviews, answering consumer questions, and sharing before and after treatment photos. In order to be recognized in any given year, doctors must maintain the distinction of Top Doctor or Top Contributor and uphold an average rating above four stars. “The RealSelf Hall of Fame honors the achievements of board-certified aesthetic doctors who consistently put the consumer first,” said Tom Seery, Founder and CEO of RealSelf. “It’s my pleasure to recognize this elite group of doctors for their significant contributions on RealSelf and their high standards in patient satisfaction.” Every year, millions of consumers visit RealSelf to find aesthetic doctors and research elective cosmetic treatments ranging from surgical procedures like rhinoplasty and breast augmentation to nonsurgical treatment options such as injectable fillers and facial lasers. By answering consumer questions, sharing before and after photos, and encouraging their patients to leave open and honest reviews, RealSelf Hall of Fame honorees have played a vital role in helping consumers make informed and confident choices about medical aesthetic treatments. When asked about his reaction to receiving the award, Dr. Corrado stated, “I am honored to be recognized by RealSelf, a leading information source for patients seeking information regarding cosmetic surgery. In the modern age, the internet has helped to bridge the gap between patient and surgeon. I now see patients from all over the US and abroad who come to me to have their surgery after learning about my practice from online sources such as RealSelf. I am honored to be considered a top physician in my field, and strive every day to provide amazing results and experiences for my patients. Thank You RealSelf!”. 96th Annual AOCO Indian Wells, California

May 10, 2012 Indian Wells, California — Dr. Anthony Corrado recently had the honor of speaking at the 96th Annual Clinical Assembly of the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology (AOCO). This speaking engagement validated Corrado once again as one of the top experts in the facial plastic surgery field.

“It was an honor and a privilege to speak at the AOCO assembly,” Dr. Corrado said. “I enjoyed discussing rhinoplasty with other doctors and was quite enthused by the audience participation and reactions.”

The event took place at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells, California. The AOCO Annual Clinical Assembly is the largest AOCO conference of the year, assembling all specialists in the field. All topics in Otolaryngology are covered by panel discussions from experts in their subspecialty field.

Dr. Corrado spoke at the event as part of the Facial Plastic Surgery panel. Members of this panel discussed various topics related to facial plastic surgery, including rhinoplasty, facelifts, liposuction, and hair restoration. Specifically, Dr. Corrado discussed rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty.

“My goal with my lecture was to not only provide a foundation for the novice rhinoplasty surgeon but also address advanced surgical issues that an experienced surgeon might be dealing with,” Dr. Corrado said. “I hope that my lecture appealed to a broad range of surgeons and that everyone walked away gaining value and insight about rhinoplasty.”

Specific topics discussed by Dr. Corrado included:

  • Airway reconstruction for patients who have difficulty breathing and are in need of revision rhinoplasty.
  • Multiple cartilage grafting techniques, including spreader and batten grafts correct internal and external valve dysfunction, respectively.
  • The correct technique allows normal breathing to be restored for a patient undergoing a revision rhinoplasty.
  • Graft harvest site options, including septal, ear and rib cartilage harvest sites. These sites depend on the severity of the case.
  • “Ultimately, I stressed that it is important to maintain nasal aesthetics and nasal function when performing a rhinoplasty surgery,” Dr. Corrado said.

A few other topics that Dr. Corrado discussed included tip modification techniques, the importance of preserving nasal cartilage, and the importance of tip suture techniques, especially those that provide a means for sculpting and refining the nasal tip without losing the support of the tip cartilage. In order to make sure the surgeons got hands-on experience, Dr. Corrado also displayed many different intraoperative pictures illustrating various techniques.

“The feedback that I received from this event was so positive, and I truly felt like the audience was engaged throughout the entire panel,” Dr. Corrado said. “It was an honor to work with the attendees at this event, as well as stand alongside some of the top experts in the facial plastic surgery field.”
